Affiliate disclosure

Short version: the practice activities are free and contain no affiliate links. Some separate review or recommendation pages may contain affiliate links, which are always labelled and never affect what we recommend.
How the site is funded
11+ Activities is run by ZAHA Labs. The costs are small and are covered by our own books and guides, and by affiliate commissions from a small number of products we genuinely use or recommend. There is no advertising network on the site and no sponsored content.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a normal link with a tracking code in it. If you click it and go on to buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same — the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.
Where affiliate links appear
- Never inside the practice activities. No question, answer or explanation contains a commercial link of any kind.
- On occasional recommendation pages (for example a page about revision books or a helpful tool), always with a disclosure notice at the top of the page.
- In some guide articles, where a single clearly-labelled link appears next to the relevant advice.
Our promise about recommendations
- We only link to products we would recommend to a friend without the commission.
- Commission rates never decide which product appears — the number of products we link to is deliberately small so that stays true.
- If a product stops being good value, the link comes out, even if it earned well. You can check that we do this by emailing us about any recommendation you disagree with.
Typical affiliate programmes
Where commissions do arise they normally come from UK retail affiliate programmes such as Amazon Associates or book retailers. If you would rather not be tracked, block third-party cookies in your browser — the site works exactly the same.
